About Us

Hereford Veterinary Physiotherapy is dedicated to providing excellent physiotherapy care to your animal, no matter their age, breed or discipline.

Based in Herefordshire near to the Welsh border, I provide a professional Veterinary Physiotherapy service to all areas of Herefordshire and the borders of surrounding counties. I am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Animal Therapy (ACPAT), Register of Animal Musculoskeletal Practitioners (RAMP) and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP).

What is the importance of Physiotherapy?

Physiotherapy aims to improve strength and range of movement, therefore maximising pain free function for your animal. As a Chartered Physiotherapist and an ACPAT category A Veterinary Physiotherapist, I have a detailed understanding of anatomy and biomechanics, ensuring I can support your animal whether this be on a maintenance basis or for a rehabilitation need. By choosing Hereford Veterinary Physiotherapy, you are ensuring that your animal is treated by a Chartered Physiotherapist registered with ACPAT and RAMP, giving you peace of mind that I am fully insured, regulated and have undertaken at least 5 years of formal training.

What to expect

I work within the Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966 and Veterinary Surgeons (Exemptions) Order 2015. Therefore, I require veterinary consent prior to assessing and treating your animal if they currently have an active/acute injury or disease, including post-operatively, post injury and for specific rehabilitation of pathology. For routine maintenance Physiotherapy treatment, I do not require a Veterinary referral, however, should there be any concerns during these sessions I will liaise with your Veterinarian. This means that I work closely with your Veterinarian to provide optimal care for your animal. I will also work within the multidisciplinary team including your farrier, saddler and coach to work collaboratively towards your goals.
